What does your role as an apprentice involve?

My role is to project manage a variety of projects and communicate with internal and external stakeholders in order to stick to project budgets timelines and quality.

Why did you choose the apprenticeship route?

I chose this route as I could get valuable workplace experience along side getting a degree in my desired area.

How did Callywith support and influence your decision to do an apprenticeship?

Callywith was a huge support in the fact they had lots of sessions and talks about all the different options other than university which helped me look into this option more and send off various emails to employers. I found tutor time was the most beneficial to me as my Personal Development Tutor helped me massively.

What is the best thing about an apprenticeship?

I think the best thing about it for me is the ability to learn on the job and gain the practice in a real job scenario.

What are you hoping to do in the future?

My goal is to either be a project manager for a company such as Red Bull or be able to use my own experience to operate my own team.

Do you have any tips or advice for students considering an apprenticeship?

My tip would be: even if the apprenticeship you want isn’t out there, don’t be afraid to contact a business and ask if it’s possible to set one up for you as this is what I did.
