Art students scoop prestigious Young Art Cornwall awards
Callywith Art and Design students scoop awards at the prestigious Young Art Cornwall presentation evening at Falmouth University.
Callywith Art and Design students scooped awards in mixed media and painting at the prestigious Young Art Cornwall (in support of Cancer Research UK) presentation evening at Falmouth University.
Second year Art and Design Diploma students, Esther and Grace, were awarded certificates and specialist crafts art materials for their entries. Esther's mixed media piece so impressed the judges that a special category was created to show her beautiful artwork based on her own family tree, whilst Grace gained a a runners up award in the painting category.
A deserved special mention should also be made for Katie, a first year Art Diploma student, who gained a highly commended award for her digital media submission.
