New students discover enrichment opportunities at Freshers’ Fair
First year students discovered more about the outstanding enrichment opportunities and support on offer at the college's Freshers' Fair.
The event gave this year's new cohort the opportunity to find out more from current students and staff about the wide variety of enrichment opportunities available to them while they study.
Student Ambassadors and staff were on hand to offer advice and students were encouraged to embrace a variety of the opportunities that the college has to offer including the medics', academic, sports, esports, law and digital academies, Callywith Active physical activities, Duke of Edinburgh Award, Ten Tors, the Extended Project Qualification, Culture Cafe, Music Mondays, as well as Sustainability, Dungeons & Dragons, and Pride groups, plus much, much more.
In addition to students' chosen course/s and as part of their timetable, students can choose from a range of enrichment opportunities that are offered throughout the week.
As well as adding to CVs or university applications, these activities can give students a break from their studies, enable them to meet students from other courses and broaden students' experiences at college. Students can follow an activity that complements their existing study or use it to discover something entirely new!

During the Freshers' Fair, students also took part in fun activities including glitter tattoos and even enjoyed some free treats from the college's caterers, Cleverchefs.
Students also discovered more about the support available to them from our Student Services, Transport, Careers and Academic Services teams, Personal Development Tutors and external agencies including Brook Sexual Health, Cornwall & Devon Police, CAHMS and Young Carers.
