Devon & Cornwall Police recently held their annual work experience week at Callywith for year 12 students from across Cornwall including our Level 3 Uniformed Protective Services Diploma students. 

A Level Geography students have recently returned from an extraordinary journey to Toronto, Canada, a city bursting with cultural diversity, urban landscapes, and natural wonders.

We are delighted to announce that our Callywith Active programme have successfully secured £1690 funding from Sport England’s 'Small Grant Fund' to help deliver a non-contact female boxing exercise project at Callywith College. 

Mathematics is a challenging and stimulating course that will encourage you to develop your mathematical skills, improve your ability to think logically and enable you to determine solutions to a wide range of problems. If you enjoyed studying GCSE Maths, particularly the more algebraic topics, and would like to significantly improve your mathematical skills, then this would be an ideal subject for you to study at A Level.

This T Level is an engaging course which provides learners with an understanding of how children grow, learn and develop within the early years. T Levels (Technical Levels) are a Level 3 qualification that combine theory and practical learning with an industry placement. They have been developed in collaboration with employers to ensure the content meets the needs of industry to prepare students for work. A T Level is equivalent to three A Levels.

Experience with a real employer in a real workplace allows you to apply the skills and knowledge you learn in the classroom to the job, giving you a taste of the world of work you expect once you complete your studies. Around 80% of your time will be spent at college with the remaining 20% being spent at your placement. This differs to an apprenticeship, which is typically 80% on the job and 20% in the classroom.

Photography is an art of observation. It has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them. It is a powerful language which speaks to our emotions. If you enjoy creating photographic images, then the course will stretch and challenge you by providing an opportunity to engage in projects that encourage creativity, investigation, analysis and experimentation as a means of developing technical and expressive skills. It encourages the development of your own visual language while improving your understanding of the broad visual, cultural and theoretical contexts in which contemporary photographers operate.

The Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performing and Production Arts is designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills and understanding necessary to access and progress to degree level study or employment in the performing arts.

The UAL Level 3 Diploma in Games Art, Animation and Development was developed collaboratively with representatives from universities, Further Education colleges and Sixth Form colleges to ensure that it provides students with the skills, knowledge and understanding they need to progress into Higher Education, Further Education or other training opportunities.

The media is a powerful entity which plays a significant role within society. The centrality of the media to human experience - from the conduct of everyday life, to the exercise of power, to the creation of culture - is inescapable. We live in an intensely mediated world, as philosopher Marshall McLuhan famously said, "The Medium is the message".

If you enjoy art and design and want to experience a broad range of creative activities, the Art & Design Extended Diploma will provide you with these learning opportunities. You will discover how artists, designers and makers see the world and learn in both gallery and commercial settings. You will be able to use art and design to communicate your innovative ideas effectively and realise your potential within the creative industries.
