Business skills workshops
We run a range of one-day courses on a variety of business topics, delivered by business leaders to develop and refresh skills including social media, project management, people management and budgets.
Professional qualifications
A full range of professional of professional qualifications in a diverse range of areas from HR to Accountancy, leadership and management, marketing and social media, health and safety, engineering, health and social care and project management are all available with flexible start dates and locations Qualifications are run from entry level to degree level in small interactive groups with expert tutors delivering exceptional results.
Apprenticeship training programmes
In over 30 areas from creative and digital media, marketing and IT to business administration, customer service, construction, hairdressing, health and social care, accountancy and childcare, an Apprenticeship programme is suitable for anyone over 16 that’s starting a new job or employed and looking to learn while they earn. Programmes are a minimum of one year and include support and coaching at work as well as completing a course with the College.
Job Shop
The Job Shop can connect you with our learners, and has already worked with a wide range of different employers, including Seasalt, Adventure Learning, The Headland Hotel, Disability Cornwall and Thomas Cook, NatWest Bank and Haven Holidays to name but a few. The Job Shop can advertise your vacancies and run recruitment campaigns within the college, prepare and arrange students for interview to ensure that you have access to the best candidates.
Work Placements - All our students are keen to get out into the working environment and undertake work placements. The Job Shop can advertise possible placements in your business; whether it is for a couple of days to help out at a busy time or something more concrete like 1 or 2 days a week. Enterprise Learning - The Job Shop provides opportunities for businesses to get involved in Enterprise Learning. Enterprise Learning allows students to undertake real life projects for businesses. Examples so far have been designing websites for local hotels, undertaking a social media campaign for a community group as well running marketing campaigns for sports clubs. The process involves students meeting a local company, obtaining a project brief, undertake the project using the colleges resources and then presenting their ideas and materials back to the company who are then able to use any of the student’s ideas or resources if desired.

Degree level short courses
Our SUCCESS courses are modules from degree programmes, focusing on specific business skills. They are accredited by Plymouth University and can be studied either as a single specialist topic or by creating a tailored management development programme with three SUCCESS courses.
